Ayako Tabata, aka Tabaimo (a moniker derived from her childhood nickname), is a contemporary Japanese animation and video artist who uses multiscreen projections and carefully constructed environments to create an immersive world of lush, dreamlike images, which are often disturbed by unexpected and, at times, savage events.
