Interweaving Poetic Code

In 1804, weaver and merchant Joseph Marie Jacquard programmed the movements of a loom using a system of perforated cards, which became prototypes for binary computer code. Exploring the historic and contemporary links between textiles and computing, “Interweaving Poetic Code,” co-directed by artist, computer programmer, and poet Taeyoon Choi, will spotlight seven international artists.
