At first, Hu Xiaoyuan's See (2012) appears empty. A simple white rectangle is projected onto the wall. Nothing seems to happen. Then a soft curved shadow appears and gradually moves across this image. Nearby, a monitor facing the wall displays a video that lays bare the piece's mechanics.
