In a downturn, it’s often hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But if you squint hard enough, perhaps you can discern at least the outline of the future. Word on the street has it that the two-year-old Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing, which has been rumored to be up for sale, might have found a sweet exit strategy. The pride of Belgian collectors Guy and Miriam Ullens has been largely regarded as the first private and “properly managed” contemporary art museum in China, yet faint murmurs…
