As Iranians took to the streets to protest the results of June’s national election, Iran’s homegrown street artist had his day.

With the arrival of modern graffiti in Iran, A1one sits at the nexus between two emerging worlds. His name is pronounced “A-one-one,” and he chose it as a nom de plume for the way it resembles the word
