NaoKo TakaHashi

Born in 1975 in Niigata prefecture, Japan, NaoKo TakaHashi has traveled and made artworks all over the world. In her performances, videos and text installations, she addresses issues of dislocation, relocation and the ambiguities of national and individual identities within multicultural societies. In 2005, TakaHashi was an artist at the first Sharjah Biennial residency program and was a resident at the al-Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art, Jerusalem, in 2007.
