Follow Me!

by Kai Ozawa

For over a decade, "China is changing rapidly;" has been the mantra for people who have visited the country and witnessed its reality. Capitalism and power politics, together with the rapid and dynamic construction of city infrastructure, seem to be ever-accelerating with the approach of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and the world exposition in Shanghai in 2010. "Follow Me!” named after a photograph by Wang Qingsong, is perhaps the first major art exhibition to introduce contemporary art from China to a general Japanese audience.
