Director Quits Over Funding Imbalance

ADELAIDE — The resignation in January of Christopher Menz, the director of the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA), has brought into sharp focus the hold that Australian state governments have over the ambitions of the art institutions that they finance through regular annual funding.
