Mono-ha, literally meaning "School of Things" in Japanese, was an avant-garde movement at the forefront of radical, experimental art in Japan during the late 1960s and early '70s. Its name is in reference to the group's use of mostly unprocessed industrial and natural materials as mediums in their work.
