ART FAIR REPORT

Pecking Order

When Art Fair Tokyo, due to be held in early April, was postponed because of the March 11 Tohoku-Kanto earthquake and tsunami, it left the April-to-June season wide open for Art HK to spread its wings as the only major talking point among East Asian art fairs. Bejing’s two fairs, China International Gallery Exposition (CIGE) and Art Beijing paled by comparison. Looking ahead to July, the Menasart Fair seeks to find a place for itself in a market already dominated by Art Dubai.
