Michael Joo’s practice encompasses drawing, sculpture, multimedia and performance, and incorporates natural and synthetic materials, from blocks of compressed salt to an airplane fuselage, moose antlers and video cameras. Since his first solo show in New York in 1992, Joo’s work as been exhibited globally, most recently in a retrospective at Galleria Marabini, Bologna, in 2010.
