Isn’t déjà vu delightful? Back in 2008, on the eve of the global recession, Italian-Bulgarian-American curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev opened her Biennale of Sydney. Four years ago Pace Gallery opened their Beijing space, and auctions for modern and contemporary art in New York and Hong Kong rang up far out totals of USD 1.2 billion.
