Hugging the Shore

"Hugging the Shore" marked Sydney-based artist Simryn Gill's return to the land of her birth, Singapore, after being raised in Malaysia and spending many subsequent years living and working in other parts of the world. In keeping with the general tenor of Gill's output, the exhibition, held at the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, was a modest affair featuring four bodies of work.
