Clad in maroon Dr. Martens, dark skinny jeans and a leather jacket with two fire dragons emblazoned on the lapels, Yoshitomo Nara has always looked like a grunge rock star. As one of Japan’s most influential neo-pop artists, Nara has developed a cult following in his three-decade career.
