Prasong Luemuang is a young artist who revolutionizes neo-traditional Thai painting by attempting to reinterpret and reconstruct them into his own visual language. His recent solo exhibition at the Chiangmai University Art Museum comprised an overview of his works from 1999 to 2003. Focusing on Buddhism and meditation, Prasong attempts to translate meditative experience into paintings by concentrating on self-examination. His experimental style has gradually shifted…
