Not all artists and curators hibernate during the languid months of June, July and August. Jitish Kallat spent most of the monsoon season this year locked in his studio in Mumbai, creating installations and paintings again after his long curatorial stint for the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. During some particularly scorching wet spells, Kallat escaped to Austria where he is said to be putting the finishing touches on something quite monumental.
