The exterior of the recently constructed Daegu Art Museum (DAM) is a tired example of corporate architecture, while its inside—complete with oversized atrium and monotonous galleries—is little better. The walls are covered with a mélange of metal sheets, marble, air-conditioning vents and faux-cement tiles. DAM’s overall structure suggests similar ill-planning, bureaucracy and lack of vision.
