“Creative Australia” Outlasts Minister

On March 13, shortly before his untimely dismissal, former minister for the arts Simon Crean proposed “Creative Australia,” an AUD 235 million (USD 245 million) national strategy to advance universal arts education and develop infrastructure for art industries.

While Crean’s departure could have resulted in the government aborting the policy, his newly appointed replacement Tony Burke expressed his continued support for the bill.
