With all eyes turning to Asia in anticipation of the Beijing Olympics and September biennial circuit, unbridled optimism is in the air. The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is scheduled to open in late July after nearly a decade’s delay. The 11-story, Bt 500 million (USD 15.46 million) building will house art galleries, an exhibition space for the permanent collection, a library, theater, retail stores and restaurants.
