Obscenity Charges Dismissed Against Famous Indian Painter

On May 8, the High Court of Delhi dismissed criminal proceedings against the celebrated 92-year-old artist, MF Husain (See AAP 18, 19, 50), who was charged with allegedly hurting public sentiment with his provocative painting of a Hindu deity.
