Now aged in his mid-thirties, the Taiwanese-born artist Huang Chi-yang recently set up a studio in New York. Huang is well known as an artist who makes both paintings and installations. For the 'Inside Out' exhibition of contemporary Chinese art at the Asia Society and P.S.1 in New York (1998), he showed 'Zoon', a group of ink-on-paper drawings hung in scrolllike fashion…
