Taking the cue from the allegorical tenor of Vivan Sundaram's work, it seems fitting to begin in a mode proper to allegory itself: the doubling of one text by another, the framing of a pictorial object by a literary one, the more to be able to focus on the ontological rift that such a juxtaposition might bring to light.
