ART NOW, an exhibition of recent sculpture and installation work by thirty-one artists, was proposed as the first of a series of biennial reviews of contemporary art in New Zealand. For curator Tina Barton it seems to have been a chance to take stock of a heterogeneity of sculptural and installation practice and to showcase some of the best examples.
