The textiles of Papua New Guinea are as wonderful and various as the 750-plus languages of the country. They have played, and still do play, an essential role in the establishment of personal and group identification and status. While the majority of the textiles are utilitarian items, decoration and designs often designate their importance in ceremony and theā€¦
