During the past decade or so, as art watchers interested in Asia focused their attention on the growing Japanese demand for high-priced western works, developments in neighbouring Korea were largely overshadowed. But the transformation of the Korean art scene, especially since the economic boom years of the late 1980s, has been nothing less than remarkable.
