Sexual identity and cultural context were the predominant themes explored by 'Re-emplace', a two-woman exhibition during April 1999 at Singapore's Earl Lu Gallery. Participating artists Singapore-Australian Suzann Victor and Australian Sally Smart are recognised for their gender-concerned works. For 'Re-emplace', both women submitted site-specific installations revolving around body, memory and femininity.
