Toshio Shibata, a member of a new generation of Japanese photographers, focuses his camera lens on wilderness landscapes that are in part transformed by industrialisation. Exclusively showing black-and-white prints, his recent Los Angeles exhibition presented ten new images along with a small sampling of his earlier works.
