NARELLE JUBELIN, Legacies of Travel and Trade, 1990, four renditions of Hedda Morrison's Chinese photographs (c. 1940) in cotton petit-point with found frames of ivory, semi-synthetic ivory, tortoise shell and wood; with objects from the collection of the Powerhouse Museum: Chinese bronze 'cash' coins, Chinese silk petit-point purses, eyeglass case and fan case, Chinese ivory cigarette holders, displayed in 1893 museum vitrine, 100 x 60 x 20 cm.

As far as the Chinese were concerned we were just foreigners.1
