Already from its title— "Histories/Identities/Technologies/Spaces: Singapore Art Today" (aka 'HITS')— Nokia Singapore Art 2001 promised to be a show about everything and nothing. It was as if the exhibition was conceived to satisfy a kiasu 1 curatorial checklist: got identity, got spaces, got women, got bodies, got histories and, finally, the particular pull of "HITS", got cyber.
